Blue - Sofia Amador-Mora

My favorite color

The wings of a butterfly

The vast ocean

My childhood walls

I found comfort in the beauty of the color

Maybe because I could get lost in it

I could let the color consume me

When asked what my favorite color is

I don’t hesitate

It used to be yellow

Winnie the Pooh Yellow

Such a happy color

For a happy kid

A kid who didn’t know any better

Didn’t experience loss,

Love

Heartbreak

Distance

Yellow no longer suited her

Blue felt more like it
