What is ARCH?
We are the University at Albany’s online undergraduate literary magazine! We accept any type of work from undergraduate students, from poetry, prose, photography, digital art, and anything else you can think of.
Our goal is to establish an on campus community at the University at Albany for creative students to be surrounded by their like-minded peers and have the opportunity to share their work through our events and our publications each semester.
We are looking forward to seeing you and your work!
Looking to Get Involved?
-
As of Fall 2024 we are hosting poetry open mics every Wednesday at 6:00 in the Cobb room in the basement of the library - starting in the coming weeks after Bookfest.
Come read your creative works and join our wonderful community. We would love to have you!
-
The most impactful way for you to contribute is to submit your work! It helps you to be a published author (for your resume)
Keep a look out for submission dates and deadlines - you can submit year round although if you do so after the deadline it will be considered for the next issue.
We accept any creative work from undergrads. Check out our submission page for more info!

At the beginning of each semester ARCH will be looking for editors, which would be an extracurricular position for undergrads. It’s a great opportunity to add something to your resume and get more involved with Albany’s creative community.
This semester, ARCH is considering running faculty-led editor’s workshops in conjunction with our regular meetings- join our Discord for more information!

Are you an English major looking for an internship in the field? SUNY Albany offers two intern positions each semester for those interested in running ARCH, an undergrad creative magazine.
