you have taken all you will from me - Jasmin Gulesen

you will not get one more word

from these desolate purple lips,

cold and unmoving

above my trembling chin.

you will not get one more battle

fought to my death—

lost for you

to win,

to stand victorious above

my contorted body

and wear my loss around your neck

like a piece of jewelry.

you have bled me dry

but you will not get one more drop

of charcoal ink

flowing from the tip of my pen,

or staining my face

for you.
