Our Mission is Clear (a found poem of George W. Bush’s Address on the Iraq War) - Gabryela Garcia

Disarm Iraq

Free people

Defend the world from grave danger

[REDACTED] will protect the Iraqi people

Our common defense

The peace of a troubled world

The hopes of an [REDACTED] people depend on you, that

Trust is well placed.

We will protect

[REDACTED]

Confront

Your skill and bravery.

People you [REDACTED] will witness

The spirit of the American military.

Who has no regard for conventions of war or rules of morality.

Attempting to use [REDACTED] men, women and children as shields

A final atrocity

[REDACTED] innocent civilians

Harm.

We come to Iraq for

Their civilization and for the religious faiths

We have ambition in Iraq

Remove and restore control of that country to [REDACTED]

Our nation enters this conflict, our purpose is sure.

The people of the United States

Will threaten with weapons of mass murder

We will accept no outcome but victory.

We will

[REDACTED]

May God bless our country and all who defend her.
