Fate of a Fairytale - Anjali Johnson
For once upon a time the glass can break
A wish, it can’t be tamed by touch of heart.
We wait for which a love will heal or take
At least, a squeeze, a brush, to call our part.
The curse, it pricks, it robs the light from pasts
For men, who can, who fight, the knight astray.
The chain which locks unto the spell he casts.
Forgive the night, from light of day, we’ll pay.
I want to find what most can’t see from here
To grasp onto a wind, the breath you pray
Upon the hour, the tick our hearts march near
A kiss, the chime, which says you’ve gone to fray.
A dream that's mine, not what the light can see
A chance that's free, a might that just might be.
