Discarded - Anaya R Castillo

good for one thing like a pomegranate

take all the seeds out of me

Savory and sweet

Satiating their pleasure

As they turn mine into pain

I'm the leader of my own suffering

I stand front row and watch them

Peel the layers of my flesh back

Salvaging the taste of me

As if I were only just a body
