A Worn Ring - Gianna Montague

Worn on my right hand

Waves carved into its surface

Edges jagged from years of use

It fits my finger as if it's always been there

Leaving a rough callous beneath

A subtle yet lasting mark

Like a stone in a river

A silent witness to life

Ever present yet never changing

I do not know its past

Nor what lies ahead

But it endures

A constant through all things

A piece of time

Held in the curve of my hand
