Peacock - Hadyn Archambault

She wants to be loved

She needs to be adored

I want her face in peoples’ homes

Her words in peoples’ hearts

I want roses thrown at her red carpet feet

And heavenly confetti to rain down on her

I want hundreds, thousands,

Millions cheering her name

I want her kissed til she’s red in the face

I want her hugged til her back breaks

I want microphones shoved down her throat

I want people with cameras for eyes to never stop blinking

I want her skin bathed in starlight

I want her tongue coated in film stock

I want her soul to be televised

I want her to be seen

Lights,

I want her to be heard

Mics,

She needs to be loved

Action!
